One game away from history.

Will it be the freshmen led Ohio State team headlined by Mike Conley Jr. and the man child Greg Oden?

Or will it be the Defending National Champs who are looking to cap a dominant showing in NCAA world of sports. My money is on one team, a team that could and should supplant the original fab five as the real fab five.

P.S. Eat your heart out Michigan! I also knocked on wood after writing this.

Final Four

Well Gators & Gator Haters. We are back in the final four for the second consecutive years, in route to a possible repeat for the NCAA Mens Basketball Championship. If it comes to pass, it would be the first time in 15 years that a team has repeated as national champs. The last to do it was Duke in 91 & 92. I for one cant wait and am going to make the road trip to gainsville if we win. This team has impressed like I have never been impressed. Keep it up Gators.

Gators edge it out against Purdue. Thanks to the 13 straight shots that they made to finish off the game. Al Horford was huge at the end. Got to tip your hat to Purdue, they played thier hearts out, but after all it is a game against the champs, they are resilient and they find the ways to win.

Up next is the sweet sixteen matchup against the number 5 seeded Butler on friday. I think the Gators got a wake up call and will be firing on all cylinders. Go Gators!

The search for truth, is it a valid quest? Is it what we envision it to be? Is it whole hearted endeavor we partake to find our purpose in this world or is it a dillusion in our mind that we create to make us feel like if all our suffering wont be in vain and that there is some form of comfort ahead. What is truth? How can we define it? Who can say that thier definition truly defines the word. How can we KNOW truth?

Most of us adhere to some form of authority (social, spiritual, moral etc.)when it comes to the truth. These institutions of authority lay down their guidelines of how to live and act in order to find the truth they describe. But the question is do people really experience truth in this way? How can they, if they are taking the template from an experienced few and baseing thier morals and ideas around that. It creates a metal image of what they are trying to achieve. Well, my limited experience has taught me that truth is found in the experience. How do you describe the sensations you experience when you go to the ocean without having experienced them. How can you ever know what love is untill you experiences it personally. What is truth as experienced by me is not nessicarily truth to you.

Having made this point, why is it that we look to others experiences on subjects such as religion, society, and morality as guidelines to live by? They can give us the tools needed to experience the truth of what ever matter but we have to actually put for the effort to find our own experience of truth.

Just another day,

It started out OK and progressed to good. I guess all days are good, it ones attitude that ruins them. You never know what side of the bed your gonna get up from so I have learned to put my best foot forward when dealing with bad attitude on any given day. Enough of that preachy boring shit though.

Yesterday I had my second ass whooping in racquetball. Let me tell you that I definitely do not enjoy getting my ass handed to me in any activity, scrabble included (damn Mari-A-na)! But I will say that I really enjoy playing that game. It is so fast, and reaction time is crucial. Thank whom ever is responsible that I have cat like reflexes or I would be in an even worse situation. Its like dodge ball on roids but I get to slam the poop out of the ball with my stubby racket. The best is when we play doubles but before I describe that let me introduce the participants and background. Every Tuesday and Thursday of the week my cousin Miguel or Michele as i like to call him goes and plays with his two friends at Doral. They have very nice setup there and we exploite it to the max. Exploite sounds so bad but screw it.

I had not played since my long lost memory knows when and decided to partake and ended up being hooked. We started playing doubles and lets just say that the bodies were hitting the floor HARD! Any sport where you are dodgeing bodies and balls, colliding against walls, and slamming the crap out of balls that might or might not end up hitting someone in the (back, head, jewels, ass,) is a great time!

My knees are feeling it today though, I am sore as a w*ore! lol... sorry slipped out.

Gladly today is rest day. I am gona buy some epsom salt, and soak the pain away. Then sit and watch friday nights lights.

PS. Hey Marcy, Mike (Apocalypto) G got a "Volcano" I almost broke my rule on Monday for it but decided against it.

They call him apocalypto at work, guess why?

Weird Dreams May Come

My dreams have been pretty interesting lately, Most of them are a bit too nuts to write about and others just so vague, I remember how I felt very well, but as far as dream recollection is concerned I just blank out. But my pal David had an even crazier dream than any of my combined. He says he was visited by a friend of his that passed away in a motorcycle accident a couple years back. He thinks its cause he as passed by the area of the accident a couple of times this past month. He states that he is sure that he did not dream about him but that he came to visit in his dream. He also said that he asked his friend how heaven was but he forgot most of the dialogue except that his deceased friend told him that he would visit him once a month. Crazy huh...

Anybody have some interesting dreams that they have recently had?

Happy Valentines Day

everybody, but especially a special somebody.

Friday, February 09, 2007

Kill me now man, kill me now. I just don't get it. I just does not register. Its just not comprehensible. I will just leave it up to Spirit. I mean what else is there to do? There are some situations in life that you just don't get a bone thrown your way. Its just those Nolan Ryan type curve balls in the life of a human being. These are the times when you just entrust your life to spirit and have FAITH.

Faith, now that's a word I never really liked. Its a word I never got until I needed to get it. Faith to me was a last resort, that's how I learned it. Not to say that that's how faith is for everyone so don't rip me for it, just in case anyone was. Its just what my experience with it is.

Here's a little background information about me and faith (Faith and I). Faith was a word I could not stand, I guess its cause I did not understand what it meant or how it applied to me. All my life I heard the same the phrase, "You have to have FAITH," after every unanswerable religious question I asked to every person whether it was my mom, grandparents, Sunday school teacher, religion teacher, Marist brother (went to a Marist catholic high school), priest, even George Michael would not shut up about it. I always thought it was bullshit. How the *uck can you have faith in what you don't even know exists! Now I see that that's all you have when all other things have failed.

FAITH, FAITH, FAITH!

I HAVE FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!

FUCK MAN.... ITS TAKEN ME 25 YEARS TO REALIZE THAT MYSELF AND THE REST OF US HAVE TO HAVE FAITH IN WHAT EVER YOU THINK ABOUT OR DO IN YOUR LIFE!

I have faith that everything will turn out fine in the end. That's it. Short simple and to the point. You cant evade the bad times cause like my friend Pamplona likes to say and quote (Kahlil Gibran), the bad times make the good times that much better or something along those lines.

The saboteur in all of us.

He lurks in the umbra of our thoughts, conspiring to overthrow the true insights of our soul.
He helps you connive at the selfish egocentric messages brought to light by his small mind.
He whole heartedly tries to convince you that things wont work, not to change, to give up when the going gets tough in order to keep you complacent, cowardly, comfortable and in ignorance as part of the herd.

RECOGNIZE his every whim siblings for he has the power to make man great but also the power to seal his fate.
My favorite type of class

The University of Florida football program is doing it again, as they stand, they are set to bring home the #1 recruting class for 2007. This would bring two straight #1 classes depending on which recruiting site you favor. We currently have commitments from the #5th, 9th, 12th and 28th top national prospects and still have the possibility of landing the #13th and 14th prospect. What does this all mean you ask? Well it means that the Urban revival in Gainsville is in full effect. If there still are any people that doubt Urban Meyer's ability to run a successful program then those people really dont know much about college football. This guy is fantastic when it comes to building a program the right way. He recruits like there is no tommorrow in a state that was formerly domminated by the University of Miami and the other school out in the north west (FSU). This year the fruit of this staffs labor is finally beginning to ripen as the gators domminated the state in recruiting. Our foot is well inside the door, and our cupboards are being stocked like if we shop at Costco.

Its a great time to be a Florida Fan, and just in case anyone was wondering, we are not taking frontrunners into our ranks.

Rediscovering life's path.

There have been times in my life when I felt all was well, where all my thoughts and actions flowed smoothly with the steady river that is the universe. No action could go wrong it seemed, no event seemed out of whack. Just smooth sailing as far as the ego less entity can see. Everything falls into place and the unknown is something that is beheld as exciting and not fearful. I feel as though there is a life path that everyone has laid for them but its not predetermined. Its more like following an Etch a Sketch point, the path behind is visable but the front is not yet determined, all you know is your on the right path and what comes is what you make of it.

The majority of this planets people are so in tuned with their everyday life that rediscovering this so called path is an huge endeavor. People need to match the attributes of "God", my god, their god, what ever they see god as. Like a wise teacher once said, " The Divine is the Sea. All religions are rivers leading to the sea. Some rivers wind a great deal. Why not go to the sea directly?" The label or name that they use for god may be different but its the same Source.

There are 7 attributes

  1. Creativity: Creative expression, with out it there is no creation
  2. Kindness: Acts of kindness extended, received or observed beneficially impacts the physical health and feelings of everyone involved. I know everyone can relate to this.
  3. Love: "Love is our Highest word and a synonym for God" Ralph Waldo Emerson
  4. Beauty: Beautiful thoughts create a beautiful soul. See beauty in all of Gods creations. A Creative kind, loving source can not create anything that is repulsive to itself.
  5. Expansion: Life continues to expand, grow, evolved, thrive. Expanding creativity, kindness, love, and beauty.
  6. Unlimited Abundance: It Never stops, endless. We are created by an endless energy (God), We are limitless in our potential. We WILL have all we will ever need and if we have an abundant point of view towards our life. We want to think about the abundance in our life in order to attract more of it. For god only knows abundance. Limited thoughts put a limit on you and create a block that keeps abundance (any type, love, money, etc.)
  7. Receptivity: All are welcome, we all come from the same source, there is no exclusion. Being receptive to the endless abundance that is "God."
I find that the more I try to live up to these attributes, the more in tuned I feel with everything around me. Things just flow, if I need something and don't know where to start it just finds its way into my life. I love that.

Let spirit express itself through and for you. This leaves no room for Ego.

I will end this with another good qutoe

"The secret to manifesting anything that you desire is your willingness and your ability to realign yourself so that your inner world is in inner harmony with the power of intention" Dr. Wayne Dyer

F.Y.I. By power of intention he means God.

Distant Conversations

I dont know if it is just me or if everyone feels that long distance conversations just dont cut it. I feel so unsatisfied when everything is all said and done. The experience is nowhere near as rich and nourishing as it would be in person and you kind of yearn for that warmth that comes with the face to face, mano a mano experience. It seems so impersonal, so cold, so lackluster, so much like its just buisness, its just how it is type of feeling to it. To sum it all up its just plain old cold shit.

This is not to imply that the person on the other line is this way or makes it that way. Just need to make that CLEAR... I dont know enough about how it makes me feel, I could sit here and just think of words to express the sentiment that comes over me when I am dealing with the topic that we speack of. I am usually doing my best to keep myself upbeat about all things in my life but somthing I feel must be expressed if only to ease the discomfort.

Peace and love to all.

Time of my life. The time is now! Time is an illusion but the moment is now! The Moment is KEY! This Moment for me! The Moment to be all that I can Be. I leave you with a quote that really spoke to me.

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Wise & Unwise

Doesn't anyone ever wonder why we (people) can be so wise and give such great advice that just seems to flow naturally from our minds, but when the script is flipped and we are the ones seeking advice we act like children lost in the airport. We cant help but feel helpless, desperate, and alone.

The answers and solutions that were once so accessible to us in our previous mental state are now nowhere to be found or are they? The funny/sad thing is that the answers are still right in front of us but we just don't see them, or is it that we don't want to see them.

It seems as though we are so much in denial that those answers become unacceptable and there for not possible answers anymore. Its incredible to me how that whole process works. Humans, we are complicated beings. Who DA thought?

GATORS GET BID TO PLAY IN THE BCS CHAMPIONSHIP VS OHIO STATE!!!

The Stars haved aligned!!!

NFL new: Dallas takes control of the NFC East with today win over New York.
FINALLY!!!

The Florida Gators win their sixth SEC championship in grand fashion. This game was nuts, a hell of a performance by both teams. It was everything a championship game should be. I am very happy for the 21 seniors who found a way to win yet again. Gators finish the season 12-1 and await the BCS calculations that come out tomorrow. Its either UF or UM (Mich.) thats gonna meet Ohio State for the Title game.

I personally think that Michigan does not deserve to play due to thier loss to Ohio State. Give another team who has NOT lost to OSU a shot at it. Michigan had thier chance and came up short. It would be a crime not to allow the Gators to play, and prove again that the BCS system is flawed.

Enjoy the win Gator fans we deserve it for all those tough years under Zook.

Prediction: The stars will align and allow the Gators to take on OSU for the title.

Happy Turkey Weekend People!!!
I had a great thanks giving and hopefully all you peeps did as well. My flag football team swept through the competition going 3-0 to win the first annual Turkey Bowl beyotches!

On another bright note, the Dallas Cowboys clobbered the Tampa Bay Buccaneer's 38-10! Tony Romo had a career day, throwing for 5 touchdowns which ties Troy Aikman for the team record. He is not in bad company folks. This kid looks like the real deal and he ain't no shlameal!

My beloved Gators beat in state Rival FSU 21-14, in a game that was how you say??? shitty with respects to style points that are needed in todays college football in order to impress those medioits at ESPN to back a team. Someone please talk some sense into the NCAA and have them run a playoff! Stupid Analysts!

Last but not least, we finally finished moving to the new warehouse and we start working there on Monday. Its gonna be great compared to the shit hole we were in before. Cant wait!

All I need to finish this weekend of immaculate is for my Fantasy team to whoop up on my brothers team.

Cowboys Hogtie the Colts!!!

In what had to be the best defensive performance of the year, the Dallas Cowboys redeemed themselves after roughing up Payton Manning and the undefeated Colts. That Cowboys who's pass rush had been anemic through out the entire first half of the season, came alive. I was a bit concerned about the pass rush especially since the Cowboys had lost their best pass rusher Greg Ellis for the season due to a torn Achilles. Regardless of what we all thought, the replacements stepped up to give Manning a day to remember. Two sacks, two fumbles forced, 2 interceptions, one on the goaline and one returned for a touchdown by 2nd year linebacker Kevin Burnett.

Offensively it took the Boyz till the third quarter to get things figured out but once they did they got a handful of Julius Jones and MBIII. Give credit to what was though to be a horrible run defense for the Colts. The Stymied the Cowboys in the first half of play. Tony Romo has made me a believer, this kid can freaking play! He had an huge clutch drive at in the last two minutes to keep Payton and that offense off the field for the win. Very impressive win for the Cowboys!

Now if only the Gators would get some love from the BCS! Stupid ESPN analysts.

I am totally out of whack. I am completely lost in perception. I don't know why, or how I can allow my self to utterly lose my focus when trying to accomplish goals. Actually that's not the truth, actually I know exactly how, cause I constantly see myself do it, but I get this feeling of indifference that comes over me. Its come to the point where I am convinced that I cant finish something unless I see it through without interruption. I feel like if I where a recovering alcoholic that dying for a shot that he knows will send me into a tailspin.

OK that was a last week I believe. Today I have a new view of the situation. Last weeks part has some relevancy to today's topic but its just a small part. The first half of this year, my time was taken up by my desire to explore the spiritual side of my humanity. I did and still don't know much about it for that matter but i made some significant strides. My mind was clear, my heart was in the right place, my morals were unquestioned. Then little by little I came down from that cloud I was on. As the days went by, the desire to explore and search and the need to find what I sought slowly slipped through my minds fingers.

As the time passed I hardly noticed the changes taking place. I became complacent with my life and fell through the cracks. I didn't even care to blog anymore and that had been one of my greatest outlets. A place to tell the world how Aldo Jose BendaƱa Gurdian Monterey Lopez viewed the world! Itsridiculous how people (me) can be on such a high about something new in their life and then just forget it altogether. Its actually sad, but enough of that sort of talk. I am on the road to recovery, (i am a drunk, J/K) and it starts today with this post. No more meaningless mumbo jumbo. All I got left to say is Where my dogs at?!

Peeved is the effing WORD for it.

You know what really irks me? Its when someone swears that you have or are doing something and you arent. No matter what you do or say its just pointless. This stupid post is pointless but it serves a purpose and that is to vent about some dope that doesnt get a clue. I really wish it didnt bother me so much, but its just so annoying. I have a good mind to not even post this crap but fuck it.

Hey guys, this is a new type of post for me, but I am always looking for ways to make money and I wanted to give Network Marketing a try. Usually in network marketing you have existing companies with existing products and the people who first start out with the company when the products are launched are the ones who benefit from the pyramid of distributors that forms, the higher you are on the pyramid, the more money you get. Well, I was stumling on Stumbleupon and I found a site called SenSatiaFriut.com. Its free to register which is the best part, and they give you your own copy of thier website. The more people who sign up free under your your website the better it is for you. I have not found the catch if there is one, but I would not be surprised if it popped up later, but its free for now so what do I have to lose. The product goes on sale in December of this year. This should be if nothing else an intresting experiment and learing experience.

The website can be reach on the Hyperlink above or at http://sensatiafruit.com/pre/ab060937.html

What a stupid line judge! If that dumb bastard had not been in the way of Roy Williams, he would have A)Knocked the crap out of Plaxico Burress or B) intercepted/broken up the touchdown pass.

I hate when officials get in the way. It should be a pentaly, It interference!

On a brighter note, the Parcells finally had enough of Bledsoes let downs. He has screwed up way to many times. No i am not talking about all the sacks but i am talking about his mental lapses. I am glad Romo has taken over. His mobility allows us to open up the offense and send more people out on routes. With Bledsoe imobility we had to keep Jason Witten in to help block. Now he can go out and make plays like he did last night in limited time. Romo brings a spark to the team. I think things will turn out alright now that we dont have a statue at quarterback. Go Romo.
Blows if you dont have the express pass, its lines are rediculously long, we were there from 4pm to about 12am and we only got to go on 3 effing rides. If anyone ever thinks of going to this crap, make sure you get the express pass, if not you are going to be DOOMED to walk like zombies in a fucking line all night. Even though we were unable to see all events, I managed to have a pretty decent time. Just remember that I dont recomend this shit if you dont have what? THE EXPRESS PASS!

I actually wanted to go to Howl-O-Scream in Busch Gardens, I hear its much better than Halloween Horror nights by a landslide. Wait till next year I guess. Marilona, I would have loved to have scared the shit out of you this weekend.

This is a post is dedicated to the great Bebuschka!
(Sorry if i mispelled your name wrong)

Her smile is real great, and shes a hell of a date.
Hope she takes the bait, but I dont think that will seal her fate.

She is very extrovered and just a tad perverted.
Some times she scratches me hard with her boot and it hurted.

She is very sweet, and if you show her some meat
by golly she will eat!

I like when she talks,
and the way she puts on my socks.

To sum it all up that girl is a FoX!

The Dallas Cowboys

Nuff said.
The Florida Gators look legit as they handle a solid Alabama team saturday afternoon. All season the gators have shown a toughness not seen around these parts since the days of The Ole ball coach (Steve Spurrier). The Crimson Tide opened up the game with a 10 point lead, but it was all down hill from thier as the gators rallied and romped thier way to an impressive win. Senior quaterback chris leak played his heart and had the longest run of his career to go along with two TD passes. Freshman sensation Tim Tebow show that he is not just a running quarterback by ziping a bullet pass to senior wideout Jamelle Cornelius for a crucial 3rd down conversion. Then in the fourth the game was put on ice by junior free safety Reggie Nelson, who I believe will win the Jim Thorpe award as the nations best defensive back. Nelson baited the young Alabama quarter back and then jumped the route to snag his 3 int of the year and returned it for a Touchdown. Plus the throw back uniforms the gators used were nice as f*ck.

Its great to be a FLORIDA GATOR,Its great to be a FLORIDA GATOR,Its great to be a FLORIDA GATOR!!!

Oh yea, the Cowboys rocked the socks off of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday 45-14. My boyz kicked ass. It was double sweet for me since i stared the dallas DEF in fantasy and they scored a TD. I also have Vanderjact who missed an easy chip shot from 26 yards out, but made up for it i guess by nailing a 43 yarder and 6 PAT's

How pathetic can this countries media get? Get of TO's case for gods sake. Its the most rediculous shit I have ever seen. Forget the fact that there are thousands of starving, homeless souls walking this countries streets. No, instead lets flock like vultures to a carcass and blow this guys stories way out of proportion becuase he is the one gets them the most exposure. Yes he is self-centered, yes he is probably selfish, yes he seems like a prick, but get over it. The guy takes some extra generic vicodin after a long day of practice and has an allergic reaction to when mixed with all the supplement the guy takes. His publisist comes in, sees him incoherent and calls 911. I would have done the same if I were her. She happens to say some dumb statment like he was depressed, they write up the police report that "somehow" gets leaked out and the circus is back in Dallas. Its freaking pathetic if you ask me. The media or medioits as I like to call them should all burn at the stake! Ok that was a bit too harsh, but really how stupid is that. Why not focus on the real problems facing society instead of streching the truth on an attention whore like Owens. Its shit like this that disgusts me man. I never want to be a celebrity, a better name for it is house arrest.

Once the rose is in full bloom the gardener need only admire from a distance.

"I recognize that pose
When you bloomed like a rose"
Logic

Logic is a very intresting subject to learn about. I know that in this world is its usually a good idea to be logical. Then there are other times were logic simply does not apply. Logic is defined as: the study of the rules of correct thinking. It concentrates on the principles that guide rational thought and discussion. The most fundamental concept in logic is that of an argument. An argument must be distinguished from "arguing", which is a debate or disagreement between different people. The logical concept of an argument is: a set of statements, one of which is the conclusion , the others are premises, and the premises support the conclusion. In other words, it is a statement along with the evidence that supports it. Now follow me on this one, how do you logically explain a concept like god, the universe, creation, transcendence etc. You can logically come to the conclusion that you just cant, atleast not untill we achieve higher states of consiousness where we are cabable of understanding those types of subjects in thier entirety. With this point made, I would like to ask a second question. Why do people who consider themselves to be very logical by nature (especially the ones who have taken philosophy) believe that all things can be explained through logic and find some insidious way of making an argument (a set of statements, one of which is the conclusion , the others are premises, and the premises support the conclusion.) into a never ending debate using hypothetical statments in the "Modus Ponens" style of deductive reasoning to state some asinine claim that they are correct becuase thier argument cannot be proven wrong?

Logic is flawed becuase it fails to completely describe the world, universe we exist in and I cant stand when people hide behind some stupid law of logic. If this world were logical by nature then I would have to agree with them. Through thier logical reasoning thier statments would be correct, but this world is not a logical world. Logic is just on part of an equation that no logic system or thought can ever hope to prove. I dont have a problem with people and thier opinions of anything but when you hear people say its correct because its logical, it just burst my bubble, just look at the cartoon above to show you what all this logical thinking leads us to.

Logic is good, but not when its being misused.

I read this and I kind of confused me a bit. if you have questions on it post them and i will try and explain. I dont feel like rewriting this thing.

A seed sprouts out as the moist earth awakens it into the world. Bright, warm and safe environment surrounds it. It grows strong and vibrant among its peers.

It begins to bud, at the same time, other plants around it begin to flower and it feels left out, an outcast. The world around it leaves it behind. No flower no power it believes putting to much emphasis on what it does not have. The other flowering plants ridcule it for not having anything to show. Little by little it loses its confidence.

Along comes the gardener, he feeds her, prunes her, fertelizes her, nurtures her, the plant grows stronger and strong. It feels better about itself because the gardener gives her so much attention. She starts to wonder why he does. For weeks he toils her soil, working, caring, shareing a part of himself with the little plant. Untill one day his dedication pays off, for he has the privilege of seeing her bloom in to the most beautiful flower he will ever see. He is taken back by the beauty he beholds. That tiny little seed had become a majestic rose.

He keeps coming back each day to behold her, and one day as he is handling her he pricks his finger on one of her thorns. Cause every rose has its thorns.

Which is the best way to learn? To learn from the mistakes of others or to find out the hard way. I perfer the hard way. Its harder as the name implies but I think the lesson sticks to you much more due to the burn it leave behind. Ain't it humorous that there are so many wise sayings (Dichos in spanish) that the world has to offer that have been passed down and learned from experience (the hard way), and yet there are very few who actually live by them and avoid getting burned. My mom would always tell us new ones since my brother and I were always screwing around and being mischvous. Example: Juego de manos es de vianos." My mother used this one alot since we were always fighting with each other and others. Its roughly translated as Hand games (hitting) are for not for the civilized, but the real meaning is pretty much lost in translation. I found this other one in english that I saw fit to share. Its sates, "Don't be afraid to take one large step because you can't cross a chasm in two small leaps." by David Lloyd George, British Prime Minister and statesman, (1863-1945).

There are many wise and knowlegable teachings in this world but its hard to grasp thier message if you have no background on them or have not gone through what they try to describe. I myself am at my best when relating past experiences to people who may be going through the same or similar situations, but there is also the side of me that takes in these ageless teachings and wonders what the hell they are refering to untill I finally experience it and say OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! You can try to do what you can to help others not make the same mistakes that you have made, much like parents try to shelter their kids too much, way too much sometimes. But in the the end you figure out that most things in life need to be learned through the mistakes and choices that transpire thourgh out your life. I thought the picture below says it all, since you can protect people from screwing up in thier lives, you can only serve as a warning of what can happen.

Its crazy how a little bit of kindness can go a long way. It does not matter if your world is crumbling all around you, one act of kindness can make all the diffrence in the world. It doesnt matter what you have done before or who you are. Kindness is contagious, there has never been a time when I have recieved an act of kindness and not felt warm all over. There has never been an occasion where being extending an act of kindness made me feel connected to the world. Its amazing how a simple act can have such a positive and long lasting effect. Like my friend Whore-Ratio (inside joke) reiterated in one of his previous posts, "you don't necessarily remember people, but you remember the way people made you feel."

I have never been real close to my grand father. We have a history of getting into arugments and being non-torlerant of each other. We care for each other greatly but always seem to bump heads no matter what. A couple of months back he had to undergo an operation for cancer and I called him after it to see how he was doing, I did this every other day for a couple of weeks. Those simple phone calls have done wonders for our relationship. I can tell that he really apprecatied it, and he tells me that as well. He has had a rough history and most of my family will tell you he can be impossible to deal with, but now I see that he just needs some kindness now and then to warm his heart. I still get into discussions with him over religion and stuff like that but it ends pretty well. He listens to my view point now, although he always says that I am incorrect but I digress. The point is that I have never enjoyed my Granddads company more. I have realized that he is a funny, clever, mischievous, and caring person.

Another person whom I have clashed with is my father. Me and my dad have butted heads more than anyone I have known. A simple acts of kindness turn him into a fun loving, happy, talkative, insightful, helpful, and understanding person. Helping him with the little things around the house and the dumb little chores that he asks is all it takes to turn him from angry, bitter, mean, to one of my best friends in the world. My dad is awsome, he has so many stories to tell, so much history, so much culture in him that he does not get to share when he is angry. Most people think he is very mean but thats cause they only see his bad side. He is a great guy.

My grand mother is in the hospital, she had a knee replacement done about a year ago, and last sunday as she was walking home from the Publix (supermarket) she slipped on some palm seeds that were scattered on the sidewalk and broke her femur (biggest bone in your body) right above the prostetic knee. The doctors feared that they might have to take it out but that God that they were able to set the bone and secure it without going removing the prostetic knee. Well, she puts on a good show for us, she says she is ok, and happy when we are around but I know she is suffering. She is my hero, she is so strong, I tell her she is as tough as a lioness. I call her in the mornings on my way to work and it lifts her spirts. You cant imagine how much a simple call to a loved one improves thier quality of life, atleast for a moment. Imagine what its like for a stranger to recieve that type of kindness from another stanger. Its one of the best feelings in the world.

I have made it a point to do as many acts of kindness as I can. Whether that be letting someone in to the car lane on at rush hour, or helping an old lady with her bags, or giving a person a ride when its raining, or giving someone a glass of water on a hot day etc. There are so many little things you can do through out your day to be kind. Kindness keeps this world from turning into a fucked up and cold place. (please excuse my french.)

Be kind everybody, pay it forward, that was a good movie by the way, I recomend it.

PS, I think the artist knows my grand ma cuase that her carrying that tea set.

Are we meant to live like machines? Do we have a set program that only tweaks itself when we learn somthing essential to our way of life. Have we become so automated in our behavior that we take for granted the wonderous things that are present in everday life? Its become apperent to me that we do, atleast most of us, present company included.

Most people have a set routine that they follow. Everyday is pretty much the same as the next, even weekends tend to become redundant. Frankly I am sick of that way of living. In my opinion, life is meant to be experienced, not ignored, but in most cases, thats exactly what we do. I realized this one day when I was having a conversation with my brother Luis. He and I were discussing life in general, how we are, how we see ourselves, what we want see ourselves become etc. I was telling him of how tired I was of doing the same shit every day, wake up, work, school, sleep. He responds by telling me that I already have a routine, and thats precisley what he wants to avoid the most. He said he has noticed other friends routines and that they complain that thier life has become monotonous. I could not agree with him more. Routines suck, there is no thought process behind them, so lifeless in a sense. I could walk by a tree grove everday on my way to school and think nothing of it, and then one day look up to see a Blue Jay(females are an ashy brown color by the way) feeding her chicks, or a iguana chaseing after an insect up one of the trunks. Whats my point? The point is that during my routine phaze I would have been oblivous to the richness of life around me. They would be just some group of trees with sounds coming from it. In other words eventless, boring, redundant walking to and from school.

Ask yourself whats more enjoyable, walking and experienceing the world around you or walking and neglecting the world around you? If your answer is experiencing then take a deep breath and enjoy every part of your day. For those who answered neglecting, (I hope no-one did) its time to get your oil changed.

Also, please observe a moment of silence of the lives lost in the attacks on 9/11.
And Pray for my Grandmother who was injured on a bad fall.

Whats up Peeps? Did you miss me?

Hey everybody, long time no talk. I have been pretty busy lately and finally found the time to post. Feels like if I have been in limbo for a little while. Well let me catch you up on the things on my mind.

  • First, I take my mortage test some time next month, they have not sent me the date or location.
  • Fantasy draft came and went. Headliners are Carson Palmer, Randy Moss, & Tiki Barber along with my pick for the #1 defense in the league this year the Dallas Cowboys.
  • I opened a share account on sharebuilder.com to start learning to invest.
  • Gators kick off the season on Saturday. They look like they can really do somthing this year. Heres crossing my fingers.
  • This is my last week of non-activity due to a contusion on my left knee. This might be the thing i am most excited about.
  • I realized that I will always stick by the people who have always stuck by me through it all.
  • I have a renewed sense of family, especially for my grandparents. I am trying to enjoy thier presence in my life as long as possible.
  • I miss the past but I need shades for the future for it looks blindingly bright.
  • I know someone who is worth hoping for, she may not know it cuase i dont show it. Dont know if thats bad. But i feel good just knowing and interacting with that person.
  • I have a deep desire to find out what makes me tick. Not what i want or how i am, but why and how i came to be the way i am. I have had some success in it but nowhere near finished.
  • There is undeniable love in my heart for all, I want to express it better.
  • I want to learn to distinguish better what I should share and what I should keep sacred to myself.
  • I am incalculably more than just my flesh and bones.
  • I feel like I dont know what I am doing most of the time, but I have noticed that when I listen to my innerself, that things work out for the best.
  • I want to be 29's Crystal Baller.
Thats all I go today boys and girls. Shout out to all my friends blogging and non-blogging, Marianita, Ho, MoMo, Andre, Kathleen for all the insight they give. It may seem small but it all counts in my book.

God bless.

FOOTBALL SEASON IS AROUND THE CORNER!!!

Its that time of year again folks!!!!!!!! I cant wait, this is a big year for all my teams.
The Gators are in thier second season under Urban Meyer, and this is usually the season where Meyer lead teams start to tear it up offensivly.

The Dallas Cowboys are positioned to go deep into the playoffs with the aquisition of T.O. and a number of other players. The transition to the 3-4 defense has been completed. Look for DeMarcus Ware to terrorize NFL QBs.

Finally, is my fantasy football team which will once again dominate the opposition.

Football baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Random notes

  1. Well I just got Direct TV installed over the weekend and it has transformed me into an over nite super couch potato. I love it and i hate it all at once. I love the fact that i will have all the football i can watch at my finger tips but at the same time i get so damn obsessed that i become pale due to insufficient sun exposure. I need to regulate this shit.Who am i kidding! Football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!who who!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Now, i am no my 2nd week of inactivity due to a minor injury on my left knee. I can stand sitting at home while everyone is out playing flag football, soccer, basketball etc. All i can do is sit on my ass and swim a little.
  3. I feel kind of disconnected from the world lately. I am stuck in some type of dull existence at the moment but do not fear, i am currently clawing my way out.
  4. I just signed up to take the mortage exam I have been planning to take since February.
  5. I had a blast on friday nite at a b-day party held at a hotel penthouse. The girls who rented had like 4 ipods out on the counter for all to see and we had told them that it might be wise to put them away since they did not know all the people in the room. Then when one goes missing guess who the blamed? US?!?!?!?!!? incredible huh. But the funny thing is the way they went about confronting us. This one drunkard of a girl comes up to our group and starts saying " Ok, i just want it back, i will glady pay street price for it." Street Price, for a freaking ipod! she was saying it so much and since everyone was pretty hammered they did not make anything out of it, but i heard it for the 10 time, interuped the person who was talking to me and looked at her with a face i could only describe as a mixture astonishment and confusion and yelled out, "What the fuck is the street price of an ipod!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!" After that little comment everyone started laughing cause they finally understood what was going on. It turns out one of her friends had put it away for her. We made a joke of it the rest of the night. Ahhh... Good times.
  6. On a not so good note, i have been informed that my grammer is horrible. I will be making more of an effor to proof read my posts. Also if you find any errors correct me so i can continue my improvement. Happy mariana? J/k thanks is what i meant. The good thanks woman, not the sarcastic one! I know it will pop out of your mouth if i dont specify.
  7. My fantasy draft is coming up on Aug. 27. Its a league of roughly 8 friends mixed in with 4 dumbasses who i am not fond off. But seeings as we all come from all that is i have accepted them into the group.
entrance fee is $100 clams (flintstones reference) and it has gone up $25 every year. By the time we are all around fourty, i expect that we will be wagering a cool Million. Heres to dreaming big.
  8. I finally finished the new rough draft of my resume, i think the info is all good, but i need to make it more appealing to the eye. I plan to then post it on monster and see what happens. Hopefully i get an offer from a great coroporation if there are any, and travel to some european country. that would be sweet.
  9. I want to learn how to have OBE's
Word Verification is the way to go.

I have grow a bit tired of these darn computer generated comments so i have enabled word verification for comments. Sorry folks.

I Graduated!!!!!!! Now what?!?!?!?!?!

No I did not just graduate, thats my cousin Miguels weekend honor. I graduated this last December from Florida International University if anyone cares to know. The the reason for this post though came to me as i sat there in the O-Dome watching my cousin walk with his graduating class. It hit me that i have been to complacent and comforable with my life as it is and have only taken baby steps forward. I need to light a fire under my ass and get stuff going.

Ever since I left the structured time tables of highschool it has felt as if someone had the Tivo remote and was fastforwarding time in my life. Years are now nothing like i remeber them. They are like watching NASCARS zip by. It would frustrate me cause I felt like what i had accomplished in that year was not enough and I hate that feeling. Since then I have come up to an alternative way of judgeing my accoplishments and achievements as I grow older. Instead of judging year to year I decided I will Judge progress by 5 year intervles. I believe it will be a much better judge of where I am at the time, and it eliminates that pressure you feel as the year zips by. This Next year starts the 5 year cycle begining on Jan 1, 2007.

Goals I want to accomplish before the year is up are:
  • Abtaining my Mortgage licence
  • Openning a shareholders account to experiment & learn about the stockmarket.
  • Recieve trainging in Kriya Yoga

What is up with all the violence in the world today?
just look at those ghetto ass chicks!

Even commercials are threating commercials

I can definitely see why people would want to give up and just say

but the truth is...

so sit back, relax, reflect, retool, respond & rebound.
Trapped...

Trapped...
I feel dead in the water when it comes to blogging these past couple of weeks, I dont know if its cause I am going through some challenges or mental stress. All I know is that I come to the dashboard and just draw a blank. It feels like my life has been put on hold for awhile. I am just so ??? This is the perfect description of me at the moment.

Watch out for the exploding trackable cash circulating the nation.

I just finished reading and article on the new dollar bills that have just recently come out. They are equiped with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags. These are supposedly to protect us from conterfit operations and to track illegal money. But thats just to cover story. Try to imagine what other nifty ways our government can devise to use there new toys. I dont even what to think about it. Home of the free my behind. This is starting to look and feel like some crazy Sci-Fi Movie. We are stuck though since who knows whats for real and whats not. Anybody see the movie V for Vendetta. I kind of think thats were we are headed.

On a wierd and funny note, these bills seem to explode when microwaved. Imagine that we are just walking around minding our own buisness when all of a sudden your back pocket explodes. Not cool, not cool at all.
