HELP COMES IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS...

I believe that when you reach hard times in your life, help is sent your way. Now I am not refering to conventional help. No one is going to materialize right before your eyes and save the day. But there is definitely something sent to guide you. You just have to keep your mind and heart open to them. Some can be very obivious and some can be missed very easily.

I recently got turned on to the muisc of a jewish/reggae/rapper Matisyahu and his music has really spoken to me. Its one of those things were you have a question or problem in your head and suddenly you hear the guidence towards the solution in a verse and its like wow! Its as if I had never heard it or if I had, I never interprented it in that way. The message in his music is positive and guideing and I really enjoy the realizations and conclusions it has helped me achieve. Now this is not all due to his music so dont think I am glorifying him or something along those lines, but if you have not heard him, I recommed you do. A song i really like is Warrior.

It all comes down to this point. We are not hear on this world to work for money and live to try and get by. We are hear for a much greater purpose, and throughout the generations we have lost touch with many things that could have helped us realize that purpose. For example our spirituality, the majority of today's youth population continues to decrease in spirituality. All they care about is the pop culture around them, thats all they know. They idolize thier favorite singers, actors, athelete etc. MAN in general needs something to believe in, a God if you will. Whether we think there is one or many, the history of humanity has demonstrated that every major civilization had a spritual belief in some form of god or another. How many countless spiritual lessons have been lost to the ages due to ignorance and the fight of others to prove that thier way is better than the rest. How different would this world be if the conquistadors had not destroyed the major native american civilizations? People that were light years ahead of the spaniards in astronomy, mathematics, etc. Who knows...

The human mind is limitless in its power. That power lies within us all and it only has to be taped into. But how? Thats the question right? How do we do it. Some say meditation, others say thier faith in God, the rest dont have a clue... I know there has to be a point in everyones life where they feel a void within. Now a days we look to fill it with all our material possesions, but is that ever enough? NO, no its not, aleast not for me. When I filled that void with anything other than god it felt unsatisfiying. I would have to go on to the next thing because the joy the previous one provided was short lived. Its a never ending quest to fill the void but it never gets satisfied. Not untill I realized that I am one with god. I have never looked back and I am a much stronger person today for it. So I thank god for all the direct and indirect help he has sent my way.

Closeing thought: Music is a powerful tool, use it wisely and with positive intentions and it can give sight to the blind (pop culture america & world)

Thanks for my life God.

A couple of things:

(1) I saw Matisyahu do "King without a Crown" on the Jimmy Kimmel show. This dude is seriously RIGHTEOUS! I'll be copping his CD pretty soon. I trust that it will be a blessing to me.

(2) This was an incredible post. I read it and I was completely floored.

You made some outstanding points but perhaps the one that struck a chord with me the most was the fact that civilizations had to rely on their minds and their connection with a higher power; as opposed to just material, economy, and the pursuit of money.

I ofetn get a sense that God is yearning to connect with His people. The only way for that to really happen is for us to spend our time trying to know God with prayer. Our walk with God is not just about thinking about Him; not just talking about Him, not just convincing the world that "our God can beat up your god"; not just about our works. I think its about LIVING with God and allowing Him to live in us.

Nice post, brotha!

Well though i'm a free thinker.. still i believe there's God.. And that youngsters now knows more about Paris Hilton then what's goin on in this world.. ppl always think that their LV bags or their Gucci wallets can satisfy what they think they "need" in life.. For me i think that's sad.. There's so much more life has to give..
