Steroids investigation & Bonds a Scapegoat for Selig.

I remeber a time when basball was the most boring thing to watch on tv, were the game play was so slow it could have been snails running the bases for all we knew. Its was a time when even the best of the league's power hitters would only reach between 20-25 home runs in a single season. That was the pre-steroid period, were baseball was losing its footing with the national audience. A time in which Bud Selig was despretly trying to find a way to lure people back into the stands. Baseball, once the nations national past time had been replaced and left behind by the NFL and the NBA. Then things out of the ordinary started to happen. People like Jose Canseco came along. Big men the size of a mountian, that resembled Bluto, the cartoon vilan from Popeye. These huge oafs started coming up to the plate and started taking the skin of the ball. Pitchers started throwing 100-plus miles per hour, and the speed at which the game was played increased drastically. Was it something in the water? NO, it was Selig and the power players in baseball stumbling on somthing potentially disastrous to baseball and embracing it with open arms because they could see nothing but $$$ (ChaChing). They had found a way to revive baseball and boy were
they despret enough to go thru with it.
Now a decade later, Selig asks for a investigation! Why, so you can find out what you had know for years. To find a way out for himself, even if its with his tail between his legs. Its simply PATHETIC. Mr. Bonds is not the greatest of human beings, thats a given, but who would be. Anyone having to go thru all the crap he has had to take. Steroids were not illegal when he took them. Yes i belive he took them but so did all of baseball for all i know. He is being used as the scapegoat because he is the easiest to blame. He is about to break the holy grail of baseball records and he is the prefect target. Bud Selig, is a pathetic old man who will be uncover to show his true nature. That being of a yellow cowardly dog.

Update on TD celebrations in the NFL.

The NFL owners have voted in favor of restricting TD celebrations for the upcoming season. To put it not very gently, "This Blows!" What a stupid, stupid decision, but what can we do. The only bright spot was that Chad Johnson was on the BudWiser Hot Seat yesterday and told ESPN that his celebration commitee was going to come up with new, pro-rule material. I hope all others follow suit and find a way to piss off these decrepid old bums enough to see some more youth come into the ownership ranks. Thats all folks.

This is why i love cats.

They are freaking crazy!!! Check it out.

Put a sock in it Jeff Fisher!

Jeff Fisher known more for his disgusting wanstache than for coaching the Tennessee Titans, heads the NFL competition commitee. The commitee believes that touchdown
celebrations are distractions that take away from the game and are disrespectful. They are currently trying to get NFL owners to vote on limiting endzone theatrics after touchdowns. The rule would do away with going to the ground (steve smith rowing) and using the ball as a prop.
What is wrong with celebrating after a touchdown? I would understand if it were for taunting after a score, but the on-the-field exploits of player such as TO and Chad Johnson are a joy to watch and make the game much more exciting. These guys
are simply players who love the game and like to interact with the fans and get them rialed up. I hope those old geezers realize thats what this league needs, a bit of a shake up. So in closing, I hope Jeff Fisher lights his stache on fire the next time he's out grilling.

High Priase for those Florida Boys!

The Flordia Gators mens bastetball team proved what i have known all this time, that they are worthy of being called one of the nations top teams after taking apart the top seeded Villanova WildCats 75-62 on Sunday night. They are one game away from being in the national championship for the second time in six years. Its funny how life twists and turns with such irony. It was six years ago that florida made it to its first final for and championship game, and it happend to be in... You guessed it, Indianapolis. I am very proud of this young team and have also come to the realization that March Maddness is one of the greatest if not the greatest sporting events in the world. The passion and excitment that goes on in this crazy tournament is unrivaled. Its been a great ride for Flordia and i hope it continues. These kids have been labled too young, not mature enough, in need of leadership. It just goes to show that analyst dont know sh*t and that amatur sports, with its pure
passion & competitiveness makes up the true essence of sports.

GO GATORS!!!

A sad day in the cowboys nation.

The last link to the great 1990's Cowboy dynasty teams has been released. I truely belived that Larry Allen would play for ever. He started out and has always been a man among boys at his left guard position. A sure first ballot hall of famer that paved the way for Emitt Smith throughout his legendary journey to the top of the rushing charts. So many memories of Larry just destroying everything in his path, and the sweat contest that Madden always highlighted from his press box were hilarious. Plain and simple the man is a beast, best left guard of all time in my book. I am hoping there is a chance he will be resigned but its slim. Best of luck to you Larry where ever you go.

Is asymetric cost benefit rapeing trustworthiness of the Internet?

Over the past two years a have been dealing more and more with computers. Hell my major had a great deal to do with computers, but thats not new to anyone. In this day in age everyone and thier mothers has a computer(except David), and as time goes by we become more dependent on computers and the internet. So what happens if one day the internet crashes? Bussiness will topple, banks will go ballistic, people will (to put it roughly) fucking freak out!!! Wide spread pandamonium right?! Y2K, but with real consequences.
But what if i told you that it could be averted. What if i told you all it would take if for ISP's (Internet Service Providers) to implement a new internet protocol such as IPv6, that would greatly limit a hackers ability to evade being discovered when hiding behind differnt digital identities. Well IPv6 exists and it can be implemented, but they wont do it. Do you know why? Because thier not the ones at risk of financial loss, the sites being attacked by hackers are.
Hence the asymetircal cost benefit. So its basically the "If it doesn't affect me then i dont really care" mind set that cripples some many things in this mostly uncaring world. Its sad, really sad.
TO signing a bad thing for Dallas?

I dont think so! Ever wonder were all these alegations come from? If a team is set on signing someone and they are the ones who are taking the risk, then why do all these mediots start running thier mouths about how this player will destroy team chemistry and how he is a cancer to any locker room? Here is my answer... They are Media Idiots a.k.a. Mediots! They dont know shit about a subject other than the fact that they can state controvercial bull about something like a TO signing with Dallas to start a national soap opera. The gosh Damn media in this country makes me sick to tell you guys the truth. They are that kid that everyone has had at some point during thier scholastic career who loves to instigate and watch a fight. I think its rediculous to see how people get so wound up about somthing so trivial as a football player with bagage signing with another team when the president of the United States is blatently breaking the law and nobody does squat about that except for one congressman. Go figure...
Cinderella Team??? I think not!

The Florida Gators were on everyones radar at the begining of the 2005-2006 NCAA mens basketball season after an exceptional 17-0 start. All games were out of confrence but there was no lack in competion as the gators went on to beat syracuse among others at the coaches for cancer tourney held earlier this year. But once SEC play started they suffered thier first defeat at the hands of the hated Tenneesee Volunteers. They finished up the SEC play with a 10-6 record losing to Tennessee and South Carolina twice, and one apeice to Arkansas and Alabama. All the major analyst wrote off the young gators, stating that they were not experienced and mature enought to close out the season. Well looks like the gators were listening and have responded beautifully by winning the SEC title for the second straight year and destroying the first two teams they faced in march madness by a combined score of 158-110. The young gators called a team meeting after thier last defeat and seemed to have pulled it all together.
Up next are the Georgetown Hoyas who are favored to win this friday night. I have a feeling that they are gona be in for a rude awakeing. But dont take my word for it, see it for your self this Friday March 24 at 9:40pm Eastern.
