RECOGNIZE his every whim siblings for he has the power to make man great but also the power to seal his fate.

I guess the same thing can be said about pride. Depending on who you are and how you use it, pride can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

True, but I think pride is encompassed in the "He". Can you easily discern what I mean by "He" in this post or is it up in the air?
