I know this from personal experiences.

Seed for Though:
We become whole, healed, by making the invisible visible and bringing the darkness to light. From the time we were children, we have been conditioned to put forth our best foot and face forward. We have been shamed when our behavior was less than perfect or we seemed greedy, arrogant, or otherwise naughty. Everything "not good" got shoved into the cellar of the personal unconscious. Jung called it the shadow. It is the alter ego that plays Hyde to our Jekyll. Hedge all you want, but it's in there, stuffed with everything that you deny, hate and disavow. The shadow is your evil twin.

Romo Rocks

I know its very early in the season but the Cowboys have me as happy as a fat kid in an candy shop. Tony Romo is the REAL deal! He was Phenomenal! I thought something horrible was gonna happen on each and every play and every time he amazingly continued to make plays. Its like he has spider sense in the pocket. The so called experts swore that he could not keep up his level of play against the mighty Chicago DEF and they were right, until the beginning of the second quarter. Dallas realized that they needed to soften up that Bears defensive front and started to pass like crazy. It seemed as if Mike Martz had taken control of the offense and started to shred the Bear secondary. Romo ability to buy time and escape pressure combined with skill of pro bowlers Jason Witten and TO was sight to behold. The defense also stepped up big time with 3 turnovers and 3 sacks. Then Marion the Barbarian as TO calls him just hammered it shut with his 54 yard run in the fourth quarter. He punched it in one play later.

The Cowboys are doing great, but they need to take these next to games very seriously against two of the NFL's worst teams so far if they want to be ready for the real test come week 6 when the Patriots come to town. I cant wait!

Strong Emotions

Yesterday I was overwhelmed with thoughts and worries about the near future. The feelings came on strong and randomly. I was just watching TV and boom it hit me like a ton of bricks. Normally I don't worry about the future and try to live in the present, but yesterday was different, the effects were strong, and very unnerving.

I get those feelings every once in a while, but cant figure out what the right course of action could be.

  • Is it a sign, trying to tell me that I need to act now on something? (i.e.) Career move.
  • Is it an impulse I am receiving from the cosmos, trying to mess with my harmony?
  • Is it telling me that I should go back to school for my Masters?
  • It could be anything and thats the problem.
I am leaning towards bullet point numbers 1 &3 but I am just not sure. Its not like if I am on a one way street here as far as careers are concerned, i have plenty of main streets to choose from to get to the destination or destiny, but I find myself taking the backstreet's for some reason. That reason being that its just less hectic.
I don't like that reason though, I don't like it one bit, but I don't think I will change my route until I find type of work that I can really see myself enjoying.

I feel as if there is another being in me trying to breakout.

Its Timmy Time!!!

Tebow is the man. One fan goes on to say that "Tebow's football helmet wears Tim Tebow for protection." It may seem like an absurd comment but you would think twice once you what this kid play. Here are some more funny quotes.

  • Tim Tebow and Chuck Norris once squared off. The fight lasted for 4 years, then Tebow realized that he was actually in a fight. He immediately stiff armed Chuck Norris upon this realization. This event is referred to as the "Big Bang"
  • Tim Tebow saved the manatees. Then he stiff armed them back on the endangered species list so they wouldnt get cocky.
  • SuperMan wears Tim Tebow Pajamas.
  • Tim Tebow counted to infinity - twice.
  • When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for Tim Tebow
  • Tim Tebow built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Tebow met all three bullets with his stiff arm, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement.
  • Tim Tebow can touch MC Hammer.
  • At birth, Tim Tebow came out arms first so he could stiff arm the doctor in the face. Nobody delivers Tim Tebow but Tim Tebow. This one is one of my favorites
  • Tim Tebow frequently donates blood to the Red Cross. Just never his own.
  • Tim Tebow sleeps with a night light. Not because Tim Tebow is afraid of the dark, but the dark is afraid of Tim Tebow. This one too.
Thats just a sampling of whats out their as far as Tebow Folklore.

----------------------------------------------

Confirmation is a rite in many Christian Churches.

Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox Churches, and Anglicans, view it as a sacrament, which in the East is conferred on infants immediately after baptism, but in the West is usually administered later at the age of reason or in early adolescence.

According to canon law for the Latin or Western Catholic Church, the sacrament is to be conferred on the faithful at about the age of discretion (generally taken to be about 7), unless the Episcopal Conference has decided on a different age, or there is danger of death or, in the judgement of the minister, a grave reason suggests otherwise (canon 891 of the Code of Canon Law). The number of Episcopal Conferences that have set a later age, usually between 14 and 16 years of age, has diminished in recent decades, and even in those countries a bishop may not refuse to confer the sacrament on younger children who request it, provided they are baptized, have the use of reason, are suitably instructed and are properly disposed and able to renew the baptismal promises (letter of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments published in its 1999 bulletin, pages 537-540).

Thats a reference from wikipedia.

I just had a argument with my mother about the sacrament of confirmation. My view is that I was forced into it at the age of 16 in middle school. Confirmation to me is a personal choice to be faithful to that religion or belief system. But my mother saw it as her duty to force it upon me and that if she had a chance to do it all over again she would force me again. This pissed me off allot to be completely honest. I tried to explain my view on the subject and my belief that all religious belief systems are subject to interpretation. She had non of it. She admitted that she had doubts about things but that she gave no mind to them out of fear of being unfaithful. I find that to be cowardly. Its fine for anyone to believe things if people feel that resonates in them as truth, but to have doubt and still believe blindly out of fear really bothers me, especially if it affects me. It just does not register with me. I am the type of person that takes what they hear and really asks myself if that holds any truth to me. It has nothing to do with any man-run institutions preaching. Fuck that, and for all those who think I am being disrespectful to your faith, well I apologize but fuck that. I will not sit here and listen to someone or some institution tell me whats the right and wrong way to think and believe. That not to say that I don't think that the moral values taught by the church are wrong. I think they are good teachings. I just don't feel like I have to have guidelines on how to give thanks to our creator. I don't think that I have to feel inferior to the son of God Jesus. I feel as if he was metaphorically speaking the confident Quarterback=(Enlightened son of God) of a disheartened team=(The People) that came in against the best team in the league and provided the motivation and confidence that we could all achieve victory = (enlightenment just like he had.)

Whats wrong with that. I am not making myself out to be on par with God! All I am saying that if God were a brown paper bag, I would be a piece of that paper bag that was riped off, Jesus would be a bigger piece of that paper bag, meaning that he was at a higher level of consciousness, but in the end when the paper bang was repaired we would all be one and the same. Part of all that is. No superior, no inferior, just one with all that is.

I STARTED LMAO

WHEN I SAW THIS PIC...

LOL!

I WONDER WHAT THEY WILL COME UP WITH NEXT.

OH WAIT, THEY CAME UP WITH THIS CLASSIC.

Not that its a big deal since EVERY team in the league does it. I just think they don't do it as blatantly as Mr. Belichick and his minions.

The Moon

We are now in the New Moon Phase. Last moon on this pick that looks pitch black.

Back in the ancient times when people lived in accordance to the natural cycles of earth, the new moon was seen as a fresh start. Its the beginning of a new lunar cycle. Key words associated with this lunar phase are: beginning, birth, emergence, projection, clarity. A time to begin anew, to put new plans & goals into action. During this phase, plans & actions should be seeded by your inner and outer vision. Visualize your goals for this 29.6 day cycle ahead. Spend some time alone in introspection, engage in physical activity.

Everyone knows that the moon influences the tides as it rises. That's why we get the very high tides during full & new moons. Lunar gravity is acting on the earth and affecting the tides with its pull, but unless your a gardener you would not know that it also affects the underground water tables. So if you plant when it is rising towards the full status, the water table rises as well, and makes water more easily available to the new plant. During the new moon it is a good idea to plant leaf crops with the seeds on the outside of the plant, such as broccoli, lettuce, and grains.

It is remarkable to me how much information is out there about the nature of our planet and the forces that impact it and how irrelevant this information is to the general public. As I continue to learn these treasured nuggets of information I will make it a point to share it with you all.

A moment of prayer for all those who lost thier lives to Hurricane Felix.

I have been through some tough storms in my lifetime, Andrew in 1992 and recently Wilma and Katrina. Each and every time we took all the precautionary measures and prepared with the early warning from our national hurricane center. The poor laborers and fishermen that live on remote coastlines that were struck by Felix were not so lucky. I figure if you are a fisherman you would discern that there is bad weather on the horizon but some of these people live of their daily catch. My heart goes out to all those families who have lost love ones. God bless you.

Its Here!!!!

Football season is here at last! Thank the powers that be baby!!!

I love this time of year for two simple reasons, three if you count fantasy football. The other two being college football and the NFL kickoff. Its such a long wait for the start of the season but once college has kicked of you start to get that tingle in your head cause the NFL is just around the corner. Well, I am traveling at 200mph and that corner is here today!

The Gators are of to a good start. The offense looks like its ready to roll but that inexperienced defense has me a bit preoccupied. They need to mature real quick if they want to reach Atlanta this year.

The Cowboys are poised to to have a playoff run this year. Romo is in his first year as the opening day starter and he as an arsenal of weapons at his disposal.

This is gonna be a good year.
